The Southern Raiders Female Pathway Program is designed to support, develop, and inspire female players in a positive, inclusive, and high-quality football environment.
As the 2025 Club of the Year, Southern Raiders is proud to continue investing in female football. In 2026, the Female Pathway Program has expanded, with dedicated teams now being offered across two age groups (U12 and U14) as part of our long-term commitment to growing the women’s and girls’ game.

The program provides a clear and supportive pathway for female players who want to improve their skills, challenge themselves, and enjoy football in a team-first environment.
Coaching & Leadership
The Female Pathway Program is led by Adrian Ferrier (Club President), supported by assistant team coaches.
Dedicated skills and player development sessions will also include input from Jamari Lockhart (Academy Director), ensuring best-practice coaching and strong development principles across the club.
Training Structure
- Two training sessions per week:
- One mandatory team training session
- One optional skills and player development session
This structure allows players to balance team football with individual development and supports long-term growth.
Training Details
- Trainings are Mondays & Thursdays
- Time: 4:30pm – 5:45pm
- Location: St Patrick’s Astro Fields on Monday and Soccer Fields on Thursday
Open Sessions / Come & Try
The initial sessions will be open to all interested players and will operate as a come-and-try / open trial opportunity.
Positions are currently available across multiple age groups, particularly U12 and U14, and new players are encouraged to attend and see if the program is the right fit.
Fees
- Total cost: $300
- Standard club registration plus exclusive FPP playing strip
- No Academy levy applies to the Female Pathway Program
